What RadonSpec is
RadonSpec provides compliance documentation for radon control requirements in new construction: detail sheets, vent routing markups, materials specifications, code citation summaries, and inspection checklists. RadonSpec is a documentation service. It is not an engineering firm, an architecture firm, or a building inspection service, and our packages are not sealed engineering documents.
Design responsibility stays with you
The builder, designer, or design professional of record retains full responsibility for the design and construction of the project, including how our documentation is incorporated into the permit set and built in the field. Our packages describe one code-compliant way to meet your jurisdiction's radon requirements based on the plans you give us.
The revision guarantee
If a plans examiner rejects your permit application because of content in a RadonSpec package, we will revise the package at no charge until it passes plan review, provided the plans you submitted to us match the plans you submitted to the jurisdiction and you send us the examiner's comments.
What we need from you
Readable plans, an accurate jurisdiction, and an accurate foundation description. Turnaround clocks start when payment clears and we can read your plans. If your project is more complex than the tier you purchased, we will tell you before doing any work and you can pay the difference or take a full refund.
No site services
We do not visit sites, perform testing, install systems, or inspect construction. Our checklist describes what inspectors commonly verify, but your jurisdiction's inspector has final authority.
Coverage
We serve the jurisdictions listed on our order form. We decline orders from jurisdictions we do not yet cover, including jurisdictions where third-party radon design services may require state licensure.
Refunds
Full refund any time before we start work. After delivery, the revision guarantee applies instead of refunds.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RadonSpec's total liability for any claim arising from a package is limited to the amount you paid for that package.
